fights Bojorquez Aug. 11 Garcia Boxing junior middleweight Ryan Davis (19-3-2, 8 knockouts) will fight Carlos Bojorquez (23-7-6, 19 knockouts) on Aug. 11 at the San Jose Civic Auditorium. "This will certainly be a career-defining fight," Davis manager Kathy Garcia said. "Carlos is a tough boxer. It is very important that Ryan is able to beat someone of this caliber." Davis is the WBE Intercontinental champion, and Garcia said she expects him to get a shot at another belt against Bojorquez. Right now Davis' manager is eyeing the WBE Latin American title but is also looking at WBO's lower-tier belts. Originally published June 1, 2005
